Mark Glassman was named a senior editor in January 2009 and oversees all consumer and spending coverage. When he joined SmartMoney.com in May 2005, he covered biotechnology and pharmaceutical stocks and the national economy. Before that, he wrote about politics, consumer technology and the media for the New York Times. Mark held internships in the Washington bureau of the New York Times, where he helped cover politics and homeland security, and USA Today, where he wrote about the health and life sciences. He has worked as a research assistant in molecular biology at Princeton University and in cognitive neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania. Mark holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
