An acclaimed journalist and best-selling author, James B. Stewart writes Common Sense, a weekly column covering markets and investments, and is editor at large at SmartMoney magazine, which he helped launch in 1991. Before that, Jim was a Page One editor at The Wall Street Journal. As a reporter there, he won a Pulitzer Prize for his work on the stock-market crash of 1987. He has authored many best-selling books, including "Den of Thieves," "Blood Sport," "The Partners" and "DisneyWar." He makes frequent television appearances, and regularly contributes to other publications, including the New Yorker magazine. He holds a bachelor's degree from DePauw University and a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School.
