A veteran business and financial journalist, Tom Weber has been the Editor of SmartMoney.com since October 2008. Prior to that he was a reporter and bureau chief for more than a decade at The Wall Street Journal. At the Journal, Tom covered the rise of the World Wide Web as a senior writer, launching the paper's first weekly column devoted to the Internet. He was also the founding editor of the Journal's Saturday weekend section. In the early '90s, Tom oversaw one of the earliest online personal-finance publications--the AOL edition of Worth magazine-after covering technology stocks for the Dow Jones News Service. He began his career as a reporter at the Daily Item of Clinton, Mass. Tom holds a bachelor's degree in politics from Princeton University and is also a trustee of The Daily Princetonian.
